This was the story I was longing to write, because I love Cashel and he's lurked around the edges of things long enough!
Dr. Cashel Gregory, Head of Organizational Psychology, is the guardian of ethics and sentinel of limits in the kink-centric world of specialist contracts at Delphic.  Shame he is about to run, not walk, right past his own boundaries.

Tay is the Dom’s Dom, the experienced Head Trainer at Delphic. He is the man the Dominants look up to, and the Submissives drool over.  But Tay has secrets, he’s banned from contract work, and he’s in therapy with Dr. Cashel.

Cash never put a professional foot wrong until Tay got mad and kissed him. Tay never felt true desire until he realized Cash had never had a man before, let alone one like him.

They are colleagues. They are therapist and patient. They are experienced Dominant and theoretical Submissive.  They are crossing every single boundary there is, and it could ruin both of them, in every way possible.

PAID TO WATCH is Book Four in the Delphic Agency Series and features one closet submissive, one Dom with an anger management problem, and plenty of steamy kink exploration as they go from colleagues to lovers and beyond in search of the HEA they deserve.

Publication week - stressed and emotional

 - Publication week is a funny old thing, you get really stressed, you pretend you aren’t, that dickhead Imposter Syndrome takes up residence in your frontal lobe and has a sit down protest, and you can’t focus on anything much, other than eating.  You eat a lot.

The best thing to do is go do something else, which I did.  I redid the cover for Delphic Agency Book Four, which goes up for pre-order on Friday, and then couldn’t decide between the new cover and the original.  Then I plotted the entire first book in a new series I have coming in September – A steamy shifter series – which I love the idea of but which terrifies me because I want it to be good.

The stress and angst of publication week was alleviated somewhat when the first review was posted on Goodreads this morning and it was so lovely I cried for twenty minutes.  There is such a relief if someone gets it and not only that enjoyed it and wants to read more.

Snuffles.  Eats toast to celebrate.

Here’s the link to the review and fingers firmly crossed for more like it!

And here's my page on Goodreads if you want to see what steamy m/m goodness I am reading - cough * Travis Beaudoin * cough

Dedicated to...you

Today the advance orders for Paid to be Shared topped the advance orders for Paid to take Control, and that’s amazing.  I am so grateful.

This is for all of you who read and then read some more…

I forgot to do a dedication.  Not just for one book but for five books.  And that’s not because there aren’t people I would thank, but I didn’t think anyone would be interested (fuck you very much, Imposter Syndrome).

And so it seems to me that the only people I can reasonably dedicate Paid to be Shared, Book Three of the Delphic Agency Series, to are the people who read the first two.

This is it…

Considering that authors fantasize about Dedications in the same way that actors fantasize about acceptance speeches and we forever yearn to be pithy, witty, and memorable, please note I have written my first ever Dedication to the only people that actually matter, those that read.

Thank you!

Birch

“All done, sweetheart,” the AI's voice was rich and low, and Birch sighed as the glove released its firm grip on his right hand and wrist.  He pulled his hand out slowly, stretched, and rubbed his eyes.

His cock was half-hard, and the low-level arousal that every psych evaluation left him with pulsed steadily inside him.  “Just rest a moment, Birch,” the AI cooed, and Birch smiled dopily at it.

Dr. Gregory and the guys from 3M were tweaking the psych system all the time, and it was learning.  Its response was now tailored to individuals and their place on the scale.  Fortunately, Birch knew precisely what he was, no surprises for him. He imagined it freaked a few Emptores out though, ones that walked into the room thinking they were Alpha Males only to have a strict schoolmistress type bossily deal with them when the test was done.  Birch giggled to himself.

His phone vibrated in his back pocket, and he squirmed to get it free—a text from Dr. Gregory. Birch hummed happily; if Cash wanted to see him, then maybe he had something he needed him for.  Birch liked being needed, and Cash always had the most exciting contracts.

“Are we finished?” Birch asked the AI politely.

“Yes, sweetheart, your heart rate, blood pressure, and skin temperature are within acceptable ranges so you can leave now,”

“Thank you,” Birch chirped and slid off the chair.  The lights brightened, and he grabbed his laptop bag and left the room.  He hurried over to the Speciality Contract Wing and keyed in his personal code to access the private area, where few Venditores went.

He was proud that he was one of the select few granted access to the wing, although he noticed that there were more people around lately, and the wing was expanding. Everybody getting a grasp on their kink, he thought to himself as he knocked on Dr. Gregory’s door.

Birch's story is released on 31st July 2020 - Pre-order here from Amazon

All my beautiful boys...

Once upon a time, I loved James T Kirk.  I love Han Solo forever – my scruffy nerf herder. I loved Spike, and Giles, and Willow. Long, long ago, I loved Hal and Roger.  I bow to Shuri and all the black women of Wakanda.  I adore Cristina Yang, Miranda Baily, and Boo from Monsters Inc is my spirit animal.  I still love Peggy Carter, Jody Mills, and Pepper Pots.

All these characters that have been closer than humans to me for decades, I didn’t think anyone I created would be as awesome.  And then I dreamed up my boys, and I love them, surprisingly, totally, I love my characters.

I love Ash for his serious head and open heart, the way he is dorky and super bright, and loves Richard with his whole soul.  I love Birch for his joy, his easy acceptance of himself and the things he can’t do, his desire to serve, to give everything asked of him, and then some more.  I love Brio, for his smart mouth and his knowledge that a brain the size of a planet does not make him the best person in the room, character is everything, and his has flaws.  I love Cash for his quiet regard, for his steady presence, for the things he’s going to find out about himself.  And Richard, my dearest friend, my stoic, determined, sensible, passionate best friend, I am so glad you found yourself.

These are my boys, they have a long way to go, and they are dragging me with them.  I adore them all.
